Body Force

  • Occupation: Physician Assistant/Military Veteran
  • Goal: My fitness goals are different now than they were 10 years ago. At that time, I only cared about being big, strong and ripped, and I was able to go to the gym and train for hours at a time. Now, with a full-time career and a family, my fitness goals have shifted toward a more balanced lifestyle. I want to make sure that I devote enough time to my family and developing my career, yet still maintain my commitment to health and fitness. I also want to teach my kids about living a healthy lifestyle, and the best way to do that is leading by example.
  • Nutrition: My nutrition, or “diet”, has gotten better over time. When I was younger I could get away with a lot more than I can now. I have to be more consciences about what I eat, if I want to stay lean. I grew up eating Latin food and although it tastes awesome it’s not so good for trying to keep a 6-pack. Over time I’ve learned that it’s not that difficult to eat healthy. I no longer call it “dieting” – it’s just good, balanced nutrition. Every once in awhile though, I like a good cheat day where I eat something bad….you gotta live a little.
  • Favorite products: BPI supplements have played a big part in helping me achieve my fitness goals. I love BPI’s Roxylean™. I take one capsule right before my cardio session and it definitely has helped get me tight. Before my workouts, I usually take a scoop of 1.M.R™. It gives me a lot of energy and focus to power through my workouts. The amino acid supplement BLOX™ is something that I take all through the day, even when I’m at work.
Outside the gym: Outside of the gym, I devote 4-days a week to Jiu Jitsu training in a Gracie studio. The core strength and work-ethic that I’ve developed in the gym has definitely helped me excel in my Jiu Jitsu training. Aside from this, I enjoy spending time with my family.
